I've never put any of them in the dishwasher. Within the last 6-7 months, I've noticed a gray residue on the sponge and cloudy dishwater when I wash them, and on the towel when I'm drying them.

Can you taste dish soap, too? If so, please help me find a dishwasher detergent that isn't perfumed. I'm about to get a dishwasher (never had one before), and I'm dreading the search for a non-perfumed detergent. I'm still cringing from when I tried Dawn's new scent dish soap. I swear I could still taste it on my water glasses months later.

Do you shampoo your beard? - Off-Topic - Giant Bomb

Yes, when I shower I use shampoo on my beard. However after I eat something greasy or smelly, I will usually just soap it up and rinse it out at the sink with a mixture of that foaming hand soap and Ultra Dawn dish soap. Otherwise the smell will follow me around wherever I go and annoy the hell out of me. I do this at least once a day ...

It feels tacky, oily, and waxy all at the same time. Washing - even with Dawn dish soap - does NOT even come close to taking it off. I've had to hang a piece of flour sack cloth next to the apples and use it to sort of scrub this stuff off. It's weird . . .

Removing Oil Stains From Fabric - Any foolproof methods ...

I've said this before on this thread but I think it bears repeating. Yes, detergents such as Palmolive or Dawn dish soaps may work some of the time, but if you are trying to remove a grease stain from something of value...a silk shirt, a cashmere sweater, a fine linen tablecloth, using a detergent may ruin the item, or make the stain more difficult to remove.

Removing Oil Stains From Fabric - Any foolproof methods ...

I've found that dish detergents and hand soaps work just as well, and sometimes better, than laundry soaps, especially if I use a wet toothbrush to gently work the soap into the spots themselves (I let it sit for a bit after that, before putting it into the washing machine).

Anodized Aluminum Safe Dishwasher Soap? - Cookware ...

You can use whatever dish soap you like (Dawn, Palmolive) etc with no concern if washing them in the sink. My preference if they're filthy would be to soak them in super hot water with Dawn concentrate, then rinse and (if necessary) wash again by hand. They're hard enough that you can use blue scrubby brushes without any concern.

Last night I made some rice, and clearly hadn't rinsed all the dish soap out of the pot. While it wasn't like there was foaming soap, there was definitely a bit of an after taste. Then last night/this morning I had a truly awful stomach ache that so far Pepto has appeared to mollify.

Dishwashing Liquid Too Sudsy - Cookware - Cleaning - Chowhound

Most people, myself included, equate lots of suds with cleaning power but apparently that's not true. Manufacturers make hand wash dish detergents sudsy because that's what the consumer wants. Usually, I switch between Palmolive Ultra and Dawn Ultra depending on what's on sale or I'm shopping at Wal-Mart (sells Dawn cheaper). Lately, I've noticed
